NurseBuilt Terms & Policies

Last updated: June 11, 2026

NurseBuilt provides nurse-built home safety education, caregiver organization tools, printable resources, digital guides, and optional RN home setup review services. By purchasing, downloading, accessing, or using NurseBuilt materials, you agree to the terms below.

NurseBuilt is not an emergency service, home health agency, medical practice, pharmacy, therapy provider, legal service, or substitute for the person's own healthcare team.

For emergencies, call 911.

1. Medical Disclaimer

NurseBuilt provides general home safety education, caregiver organization tools, and home readiness guidance.

NurseBuilt does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, medication management, therapy services, emergency triage, home health care, hospice care, or individualized medical care plans.

NurseBuilt materials do not replace the person's physician, pharmacist, physical therapist, occupational therapist, speech therapist, home health agency, hospice agency, emergency services, or other licensed healthcare professionals involved in their care.

Always follow the instructions and recommendations of the person's healthcare providers. If you have medical questions, contact the person's care team. If symptoms are urgent, severe, sudden, or concerning, call 911 or seek emergency care.

NurseBuilt does not guarantee prevention of falls, injuries, medication errors, hospitalizations, emergencies, complications, or adverse outcomes.

2. Product Scope

The First 72 Hours Home Safety System and related NurseBuilt materials are designed to help families and caregivers:

  • identify obvious home setup concerns
  • organize caregiver information
  • prepare emergency contact information
  • reduce medication confusion through organization tools
  • create a clearer first 72-hour home setup plan
  • prepare questions to discuss with the care team
  • print, post, and track important home safety information

These materials are educational and organizational tools only.

They are not a clinical assessment, fall-risk diagnosis, care plan, treatment plan, medical order, medication administration order, therapy plan, home health plan of care, legal document, or compliance document.

3. RN Review Scope

If purchased, the NurseBuilt RN Review is a home safety education review based only on the information, photos, videos, forms, and Home Safety Scan details you submit.

A registered nurse reviews visible home setup concerns and provides a written home setup priority list based on the submitted materials. The RN Review may include a review call and a limited clarification messaging window, depending on the purchased offer.

The RN Review may include general observations about:

  • visible home setup concerns
  • obvious environmental hazards
  • caregiver organization gaps
  • emergency access concerns
  • questions to discuss with the person's healthcare team
  • general home readiness priorities

The RN Review does not include:

  • emergency triage
  • diagnosis
  • treatment
  • medication management
  • medication dosing advice
  • wound assessment
  • symptom interpretation
  • fall-risk diagnosis
  • clinical assessment
  • therapy evaluation
  • home health services
  • hospice services
  • ongoing care management
  • individualized medical care planning

The RN Review is based only on what is submitted. NurseBuilt cannot see the full home environment, observe the person directly, verify all clinical information, or replace an in-person evaluation by qualified professionals.

For medical concerns, contact the person's healthcare provider. For emergencies, call 911.

4. RN Review Turnaround and Communication

RN Reviews are completed in the order received. Standard turnaround is 3 to 5 business days after all required forms, photos, videos, and requested information are submitted.

If demand is high, available review call times may be later.

RN Review does not provide urgent review, same-day review, emergency support, or real-time medical guidance.

If the offer includes 72 hours of clarification messaging, that messaging is limited to questions about the written RN Review. It is not an open-ended "ask a nurse anything" service.

Clarification messaging may include questions such as:

  • which item or area the written review referred to
  • where a suggested safety item might be placed
  • what visible setup concern was prioritized
  • how to understand the written home setup priority list

Clarification messaging does not include urgent triage, medication advice, wound questions, symptom interpretation, medical decision-making, or ongoing care management.

5. Digital Delivery & Fulfillment Policy

NurseBuilt products are delivered digitally unless a product page clearly states otherwise.

The First 72 Hours Home Safety System: Delivered by email after purchase. Customers receive access instructions for the digital guides, checklists, logs, and printable tools. Access is typically available immediately or within a short time after purchase is completed.

RN Home Setup Review: Delivered as a service after the customer completes the intake form and submits the requested photos or videos. Customers receive scheduling and submission instructions after purchase. Standard turnaround is 3 to 5 business days after all required materials are submitted.

Professional Access: After checkout, the organization completes the Professional Activation Form. NurseBuilt creates the organization's access code within 1 business day after the activation form is submitted.

NurseBuilt does not currently ship physical products unless a product page specifically states that physical items are included. Because current NurseBuilt products are digital, no physical shipping, shipping charges, or delivery times apply to them.

6. Digital Product License: Personal Household Use

Consumer purchases of NurseBuilt digital products are licensed for personal household use only.

A consumer purchase may be used by one household/family for personal caregiving, home safety education, and caregiver organization.

Consumer digital products may not be:

  • copied for others
  • resold
  • redistributed
  • uploaded publicly
  • shared with clients
  • used in a business
  • included in client packets
  • used by an agency or organization
  • used for staff training
  • used as clinical training
  • used as compliance documentation
  • edited and represented as your own work

Organizations, agencies, businesses, care managers, facilities, practices, consultants, professional service providers, and healthcare-adjacent organizations must purchase NurseBuilt Professional Access or another approved written business license before distributing NurseBuilt access, materials, downloads, links, codes, templates, guides, videos, or resources to clients, patients, residents, customers, staff, or families.

7. NurseBuilt Professional Access Terms

NurseBuilt may offer Professional Access licenses for organizations, agencies, businesses, care managers, facilities, practices, senior care partners, healthcare-adjacent organizations, and professional providers.

Professional Access is a limited business-use license. It does not transfer ownership of NurseBuilt materials. It gives the purchasing organization limited permission to provide eligible client families with access to the NurseBuilt Digital Home Safety System through a NurseBuilt-issued access code, only within the specific redemption limit, expiration window, and terms purchased.

Unless a separate written agreement says otherwise, Professional Access works through a limited family access code. The organization does not receive unrestricted rights to download, copy, email, upload, print in bulk, edit, rebrand, resell, publicly distribute, or host NurseBuilt materials outside the approved access process.

Professional Access codes apply to the NurseBuilt Digital Home Safety System only. RN Review is not included in Professional Access unless expressly stated in writing. Families may purchase RN Review separately if available.

Professional Access tiers may include redemption limits and expiration windows such as:

  • Starter Professional Access: limited family redemptions during the stated access window
  • Growth Professional Access: limited family redemptions during the stated access window
  • Partner Professional Access: limited family redemptions during the stated access window
  • Custom Professional Access: terms set by separate written agreement

The exact redemption limit, expiration date, included materials, and implementation support are based on the tier purchased at checkout or the written agreement between NurseBuilt and the organization.

Organizations may provide their NurseBuilt access code only to eligible client families, patient families, customer families, or household users within the scope of the purchased Professional Access tier. Access codes may not be posted publicly, published on websites, shared on social media, sold, transferred, given to unrelated third parties, or used to create a public promotion without written permission from NurseBuilt.

Professional Access does not allow the purchasing organization to:

  • resell NurseBuilt materials
  • sell access codes separately
  • remove NurseBuilt branding
  • claim authorship of NurseBuilt materials
  • edit NurseBuilt materials
  • copy NurseBuilt materials into the organization's own packets, manuals, portals, trainings, or resource libraries without written permission
  • upload NurseBuilt materials to public websites, shared drives, client portals, staff portals, learning management systems, or document libraries
  • distribute beyond the purchased redemption limit
  • use the access code after the expiration date
  • create derivative products from NurseBuilt materials
  • use NurseBuilt materials as staff training
  • use NurseBuilt materials as clinical training
  • use NurseBuilt materials as compliance documentation
  • use NurseBuilt materials as a substitute for organization policies, procedures, care plans, supervision, documentation, staff competency, or regulatory obligations
  • imply that NurseBuilt supervises, manages, endorses, certifies, trains, audits, or is responsible for the organization's services
  • imply that NurseBuilt is responsible for the organization's care, operations, documentation, staffing, supervision, compliance, client communication, professional judgment, or client outcomes

Organizations are responsible for their own services, care delivery, documentation, supervision, staff training, policies, legal compliance, regulatory compliance, client communication, and professional responsibilities.

NurseBuilt materials are family education and caregiver organization tools. They are not medical advice, clinical training, legal advice, compliance documents, diagnosis, treatment, medication management, home health, hospice, therapy, staff competency training, or a substitute for the organization's own professional obligations.

NurseBuilt may revoke, suspend, or refuse Professional Access if an organization misuses materials, exceeds the license scope, publicly distributes access codes, attempts to resell NurseBuilt materials, removes branding, misrepresents NurseBuilt's role, violates these terms, or uses NurseBuilt in a way that creates legal, clinical, operational, brand, or compliance risk.

Professional Access purchases are generally non-refundable once the activation process has started, implementation materials have been delivered, or an access code has been issued. Refunds may be reviewed case by case, but NurseBuilt is not required to provide a refund after Professional Access has been activated.

Custom licensing, co-branding, white-label use, expanded distribution, multi-location use, portal integration, higher-volume access, or use beyond the standard Professional Access terms requires a separate written agreement from NurseBuilt.

8. Intellectual Property

All NurseBuilt materials, including digital guides, checklists, templates, forms, PDFs, graphics, videos, written content, product structure, naming, systems, and educational resources are owned by NurseBuilt unless otherwise stated.

Purchasing a NurseBuilt product gives you a limited license to use the materials according to these terms. It does not give you ownership of the materials.

You may not copy, reproduce, resell, redistribute, publish, modify, rebrand, claim authorship of, or commercially exploit NurseBuilt materials without written permission.

9. Refund Policy

Due to the instant-access nature of digital products, all digital product sales are generally final once access has been delivered.

Digital products are eligible for refund review within 14 days of purchase. If you have a technical issue accessing your purchase, contact NurseBuilt at support@nursebuiltsystems.com and we will make reasonable efforts to help you access the product.

Refund requests may be reviewed case by case, but NurseBuilt is not required to provide a refund after digital access has been delivered. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method when possible. Refund processing time may vary by payment provider.

RN Review purchases may be refundable only if the review has not started and no submitted materials have been received or reviewed. Once NurseBuilt has received submitted information, photos, videos, or forms, or has begun review work, RN Review purchases are generally non-refundable.

Professional Access purchases are generally non-refundable once the activation process has started, implementation materials have been delivered, or an organization access code has been issued or redeemed. Because Professional Access includes limited license rights, access-code setup, implementation materials, and business-use permissions, NurseBuilt is not required to provide a refund after activation. Refund requests may be reviewed case by case before activation.

Physical product refund, return, and shipping policies will be added separately when physical kits become available.

10. Submitted Information, Photos, and Videos

If you submit information, photos, or videos for RN Review, NurseBuilt uses those materials only to provide the requested review, customer support, necessary business records, and legal protection.

Do not submit more information than needed.

NurseBuilt is not a medical record system, patient portal, home health agency, hospice agency, medical practice, or emergency service.

Submitted RN Review materials are stored securely and retained only as long as reasonably needed for service delivery, customer support, business records, or legal protection, then deleted.

You are responsible for making sure you have permission to submit photos, videos, or information about the home or person involved.

Do not submit nude images, images of private body areas, wound images, medication labels with unnecessary personal information, insurance cards, Social Security numbers, financial documents, or other information not requested by NurseBuilt.

11. Privacy

NurseBuilt may collect information such as your name, email address, billing information, order details, support messages, submitted forms, and materials you choose to provide for RN Review.

NurseBuilt uses this information to:

  • process orders
  • deliver digital products
  • provide customer support
  • complete RN Review services, if purchased
  • maintain business records
  • improve products and services
  • communicate with customers
  • comply with legal obligations

NurseBuilt does not sell customer personal information.

Payment information is processed through Shopify and/or payment processors. NurseBuilt does not directly store full credit card numbers.

12. No Guarantee of Outcomes

NurseBuilt is designed to help families and caregivers become more organized and better prepared.

However, no checklist, guide, product, video, or review can eliminate risk.

NurseBuilt does not guarantee that use of its materials will prevent falls, injuries, medication errors, wandering, emergency events, hospitalizations, caregiver burnout, or other adverse outcomes.

Home safety depends on many factors, including the person's medical condition, mobility, cognition, medications, environment, supervision, equipment, follow-through, and care team recommendations.

13. Physical Products and Installation

Physical kits and products may be offered later.

If physical products are purchased through NurseBuilt, customers are responsible for reading and following manufacturer instructions, warnings, weight limits, installation requirements, and use restrictions.

NurseBuilt does not manufacture most third-party physical products unless specifically stated.

NurseBuilt is not responsible for improper installation, misuse, failure to follow manufacturer instructions, product modification, poor fit for the home environment, or failure to obtain professional installation when appropriate.

Grab bars, rails, lockboxes, lighting, and other safety-related products should be installed and used according to manufacturer instructions. When needed, hire a qualified handyman, contractor, installer, therapist, or appropriate professional.

14. Emergency Guidance

NurseBuilt emergency references are educational quick-reference tools. They do not replace CPR training, first aid training, emergency medical services, or medical care.

In a real emergency, call 911 first.

If symptoms are sudden, severe, worsening, or concerning, do not rely on NurseBuilt materials. Call 911 or contact the appropriate healthcare provider.

15. Medication Tools

NurseBuilt medication tools are for organization and tracking only.

They do not determine what medications should be taken, what dose should be used, when medications should be started or stopped, whether medications interact, or whether a medication is safe for a specific person.

Medication questions should be directed to the person's physician, pharmacist, prescribing provider, home health nurse, hospice team, or other appropriate healthcare professional.

Never crush, split, open, stop, start, or change medication instructions without confirming with the appropriate healthcare professional.

16. Website Accessibility

NurseBuilt aims to provide a website and digital materials that are accessible and usable. If you have difficulty accessing any part of the website or purchased materials, contact us at support@nursebuiltsystems.com and we will make reasonable efforts to help provide the information in an accessible format.

NurseBuilt does not claim that all website features, third-party platforms, Shopify checkout features, PDFs, or third-party tools are fully compliant with every accessibility standard at all times.

17. Third-Party Tools and Platforms

NurseBuilt may use third-party platforms such as Shopify, payment processors, email tools, form tools, digital delivery tools, video hosting tools, file storage tools, or scheduling tools.

NurseBuilt is not responsible for outages, errors, delays, access issues, payment processing issues, or policy changes caused by third-party platforms.

18. Updates to Products and Terms

NurseBuilt may update, revise, add, remove, or improve digital products, physical product offerings, pricing, terms, policies, and services at any time.

Customers receive the version and access rights described at the time of purchase unless otherwise stated.

Business license terms may differ by offer, license level, purchase date, or written agreement.
